We usually ship within 5 business days of confirming your order. Once your tree is on its way, we'll email you a shipping confirmation with a tracking number.

Yes — we deliver anywhere in Japan, carefully packed to protect the roots and branches. We're unable to ship internationally at this time, so please make sure your delivery address is within Japan before ordering.

We accept credit card payments, processed securely through Stripe.

Your card details are never stored on our servers. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a payment platform trusted by major e-commerce sites worldwide, over an encrypted (SSL) connection.

Our photos are of the actual tree. We edit the background and color tones, but we never alter the shape of the tree. Bonsai are also living plants, so if a listing has been up for a while, seasonal growth may mean the shape or foliage has changed a little since the photos were taken.

Because bonsai are living plants, we generally can't accept returns or exchanges for personal reasons. If a tree arrives damaged or in poor condition due to shipping, please contact us with photos within 3 days of delivery and we'll make it right.

No. There is no sign-up — just enter your delivery address and payment details at checkout.

Definitely. Every product page includes care notes specific to that tree's species, and our blog covers the basics of watering, pruning, and repotting in plain language for beginners. If anything's unclear after your purchase, just reach out through our contact form.

Our range spans from small shohin bonsai that fit in the palm of your hand to medium-sized trees suited to an entryway or display alcove. We are adding approximate sizes such as height to each product page; if a listing doesn't show one yet, just ask us through our contact form.

If we haven't yet begun preparing your tree for shipment, we're usually able to cancel your order — just contact us as soon as possible. Once shipping preparation is underway, we may no longer be able to cancel.

In most cases, yes — the pot shown in the product photos is included. Please check each product page's photos and description to confirm, as this can vary by listing. Care tools such as watering cans or pruning shears are not included.

Absolutely — customers can reach out anytime through our contact form with care questions about their tree. We also publish seasonal care guides on our blog covering watering, pruning, and repotting throughout the year.

Your order confirmation email serves as proof of purchase. If you need a receipt in a specific format, let us know through our contact form and we'll be happy to help.

Since every tree we sell is a unique, one-of-a-kind specimen, the exact same tree will never be restocked. We do regularly bring in new trees of similar species and styles for our shop, though, so follow us on Instagram or X, or check our blog, for the latest arrivals.

Each bonsai is one of a kind, so depending on the timing of your order, it may already be sold out. In that case, we will contact you, cancel the order, and refund the full amount you paid.

Not at all. Anyone with a valid shipping address in Japan is welcome to order, regardless of nationality or visa status — this includes residents, students, and long-term visitors living in Japan. We're just not able to ship outside of Japan at this time.

Yes. Our checkout form uses the standard Japanese address format (postal code, prefecture, city, and street address), and a postal-code lookup tool fills in most of it automatically once you enter your zip code. If you get stuck, feel free to contact us in English and we'll help you complete it.

Yes. Our team is based in Japan and communicates primarily in Japanese, but we're glad to receive and reply to inquiries in English through our contact form.

Yes. Payments are processed through Stripe, which accepts major international card brands — Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and American Express — no matter where the card was issued, as long as it can be charged in Japanese yen.

Bonsai are quite adaptable, but regions with notably different winters or summers than Kagawa — such as Hokkaido or Okinawa — may call for small adjustments to watering or winter protection. Each product page includes basic care notes, and we're happy to give region-specific advice if you contact us after your purchase.
