Japanese White Pine (Goyomatsu) gets its name from its needles, which grow in clusters of five. Compared to the bold Black Pine, it has a graceful, refined character often described as the "queen of pines."
Because its shape holds well once trained, it is a favorite among enthusiasts, and it lends itself to a wide range of styling approaches, each tree developing its own distinct expression over time.
