Nishikimatsu is a cultivar of Black Pine prized for its dramatically cracked, cork-like bark and the aged character it develops over the years. The technique for propagating it by grafting was established in the mid-Meiji era right here in Kokubunji, making it a variety with deep local roots.
It's an excellent choice for anyone seeking a bonsai with bold texture and striking individuality.
*Our photos are of the actual tree. We edit the background and color tones, but we never alter the shape of the tree.
*Bonsai are living plants. For items photographed some time ago, the shape and foliage may have changed slightly from the photos due to seasonal growth and the ongoing care provided by our growers.
*Each bonsai is one of a kind, so depending on the timing of your order, it may already be sold out.
In that case, we will cancel your order and refund the full amount you paid.
